GATElab,
founded in 1989,
started to build automatic trading and quoting systems, under the project
commitment, in 1989.
In the early 2000, the company decided to deliver its own
trading and quoting products suite, lavishing a technologically big
innovative effort.
This gave
GATElab
the possibility of providing a manual and
automatic trading and quoting infrastructure with some
first-on-market peculiarities, such as:
-
2001-2002: automatic load balancing
and fault-detection and handling among
application servers of the platform (see picture below),
providing high degrees of scalability and availability in
a critical environment such as "finance" where demands for "every-day"
increasing performances of "always running" systems
is mandatory.
-
2002-2003:
“G”
vertical language , for easily building new standardised
market gateways (in 4-6 weeks) and implement
sophisticated tailored throttling mechanisms to best adapt
end-users’ requested throughputs to the specific market
behaviour. This approach makes it possible to quickly realize
and deploy a new market.
-
2003-2004:
professional high-end GUI trading station available
either via LAN-VPN either via https without
losing in performances and functionalities. This
peculiarity, in conjunction with the FIX engine
component has been the basis of the company
deal-to-broker offering.

-
2004-2005:
suite's
components became available for multi-bank-environment,
providing application service providers (ASP) with a
comprehensive platforms for remotely watching, trading,
quoting and clearing, opening to its customers
strong-benefits of markets-proximity.
-
2005-2006:
algorithmic
platform for easily and quickly defining, writing, testing
and running strategies for reducing the gap between
trading ideas and their live-execution, giving traders the
perfect tools to create and run their own strategies while
keeping their financial knowledge and experience undisclosed.
-
2007-onward:
further interesting innovations.
