  • Antonio Caroselli       Co-founder and Managing Director

  • Fabrizio Cinquemani   Managing Director

Ferdinando La Posta

He received his degree in electronics from Naples University in 1979 and soon joined the Olivetti operating systems group. In 1981 he became a member of the USA team responsible for designing and implementing the kernel of MOS operating system for the Olivetti L1 line products, on the file system area and the locking and recovery environment. Beetween 1984 to 1985 he joined the system architecture team, working on the definition of a DIP standard protocol (based on LU6.2) in ECMA TC32/TG2, whilst designing MOS operating system distributed architecture in a LAN environment. In 1985 he joined the Italtel Telematica PBX research and development group as team leader, in charge of all system aspects under UNIX for an integrated voice/data switching project. In January 1988, he moved to the system architecture group, as assistant to the research chief, where he worked on PBX networks sides. He also investigated the AI technology, defining and building Expert Systems for automatic features testing and PBX configuration.

Antonio Caroselli

He received his "summa cum laude" degree in electronics from Rome University "La Sapienza" in 1984. He worked at Datamat S.p.A. on the design and implementation of an ORACLE-based graphical CASE tool to enforce the SADT design methodology in the functional analysis, architectural design and development phases of real-time avionics systems. Then, he joined the project team for a Software Quality Assurance Workstation (SQAW) commissioned by the European Space Agency ESA/ESTEC in Noordwijk, in the Netherlands, in order to implement the ESA Software Engineering Standards in the software life cycle management for mission-critical software on board European Satellites and at ground control stations. In 1987 he moved to Lever, Italy for the joint DEC-Unilever Process Manufacturing System (PMS) project developed by DEC Manufacturing Information Centre in Birmingham, U.K. He was coordinator for the Production Planning and scheduling module.

Fabrizio Cinquemani

After receiving his degree in electronics from Pisa University, first he had experience in Hardware and Firmware design at Olivetti Research Center (Pozzuoli - Naples). He specialized in Silicon integrated circuit design with Cadence and Synopsys Sw on SUN workstations, thus developing custom chips for digital signal processing and data coding/decoding with DES and RSA algorithms. He built experience in design techniques for discreet component electronic boards with ORCAD Sw and developed custom processing units. Firmware design experience followed in video terminals, keyboards, mouses, etc ..., P.C. AT-EISA-PC and LONWORK microchip drivers. After joining GATE he specialized in the design of financial applications in "C++" and "VB" languages under Windows NT (Intel PCs) and Unix (Sun and Digital workstations).
